WeCare is a platform for sharing information about product origins. We are a small team dreaming of answering the question: "Where does this product come from?".

As a platform for sharing information, we require our users to authenticate using either Facebook or Google. We only ask basic information (name, Facebook/Google ID) strictly for authentication. We don't have access to your email, and we can't post on your social media.

When you visit our site, we will store: the website from which you visited us, the parts of our site you visit, the date and duration of your visit, your anonymised IP address, information from the device (device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are located in, and web browser type) you used during your visit, and more. We process this usage data in Matomo Analytics for statistical purposes, to improve our site and to recognize and stop any misuse.

We use cookies (small data files transferred onto computers or devices by sites) for record-keeping purposes and to enhance functionality on our site. You may deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies by changing the settings of your web browser. Cookies that are already stored may be deleted at any time.

We use the data we collect to provide our users with accurate and relevant information regarding various entities' influence on the environment, fair trade and animal welfare.

Data such as quotes/images/videos may be used as "sources" to other data we display on the platform.

Users who wish to delete the data they provided to us may contact us and we will do our best to accomodate their needs.
